Chat
Chat with Nora
Type like you would to the front desk. Who, when, and what you need. Nora looks things up and asks you to approve the action.
What it is
Chat is the main way staff talk to Nora. Each conversation is a thread. Recents on the left reopen a thread. New chat starts a blank one.
Who can use it
Practice owners and assistants, after they sign in at nora.tjo-innovations.com.
How to start
- Open the staff app. Chat is the home page.
- Click New chat in the left sidebar if you want a fresh thread.
- Type a request in plain language. Include a name, a day, and what you want (confirm, book, text, look up).
- Send. Wait for Nora to reply. If she needs to act, she shows a button.
- Click the button to approve. That is the only send.
Example
- You type
- Can you confirm Maria Lopez for Thursday at 2?
- Nora does
- Looks up the visit, drafts a short confirmation text, and shows Send text.
- You click
- Send text. The message goes out. Do not type “yes send it” in the box — the click is the yes.
Example — book
- You type
- Find a hygiene opening next week for James Chen and book it.
- Nora does
- Checks open slots, proposes a time, and shows Book appointment.
- You click
- Book appointment. That writes the visit. Until you click, nothing is booked.
What belongs in a message
- Patient name (and a date of birth if names collide)
- Day or date, and a time if you have one
- The job: confirm, remind, book, move, look up insurance, draft a recare text
Short is fine. “Remind everyone tomorrow morning” is enough if you are on the right day on the board.
Recents
Threads stay in Recents until you delete them. Deleting a chat only removes it from Nora. It does not delete anything in the practice management system.
If a tool is off
Nora will say so instead of guessing. Connect practice software, messaging, and phone under Settings → Connectors. Assistants can turn Gmail, Calendar, and Slack on for their own chats — they cannot connect the PMS. See Connectors.
