Front desk

Front desk board

Dashboard is the day at a glance. Change the date, then work the lists: who hasn’t confirmed, who still needs insurance or paperwork, where the holes are.

What it is

The board is a live view of one calendar day. It is not a second schedule. It reads the same appointments as your practice software and groups the work the front desk still has to do.

How to open it

  1. In the left sidebar, click Dashboard (next to New chat).
  2. Use the chevrons, or the date between them, to change the day. The lists update in place.
  3. Click a row when you want Nora to draft a text, a call, or a book from that patient.

Example

You do
Open Dashboard. Set the date to tomorrow.
You see
Unconfirmed visits for tomorrow, insurance and intake that still need work, open gaps, waitlist, recare, and callbacks from outbound confirmation calls.
You click
Remind all to text everyone still unconfirmed for that day, or Ask Nora from a single row.

Sections

  • Unconfirmed visits that have not been confirmed yet. This is what Remind all uses.
  • Insurance coverage that still needs a look before the visit.
  • Intake patients with incomplete paperwork.
  • Gaps open time on the schedule.
  • Waitlist people waiting for a chair.
  • Recare hygiene that is due or was not reappointed.
  • Callbacks patients who asked for a callback on a Nora confirmation call, so the desk can return them. Not missed calls to the practice main line.

Show or hide sections

Each person can hide what they do not use. Open the profile menu → Settings → Personalization. Those toggles are yours only. They do not connect or disconnect Spruce or the phone.

What the board does not do

  • It does not replace the practice management system as the system of record.
  • Changing the date does not send anything. Remind all and chat buttons do.
  • If a section is empty, there is nothing in that bucket for that day.
  • It does not log inbound calls to the office line. Nora does not answer that line.
