Connectors
Connectors
Practice tools are connected once for the office. Gmail, Calendar, and Slack are optional and can be turned on per person.
What it is
Settings → Connectors is where systems Nora uses get linked. If a tool is disconnected, Nora says so. She does not invent a schedule or send a text through a line that is not there.
Practice connections (owners)
Only a practice owner can connect these. Assistants cannot.
- Practice software via Kolla. This is the source for appointments and patients. NORA sits on a unified layer built to speak to most major dental systems, not one. Dentrix is what we have proven in production, and that is the honest answer today. Another system is a conversation, not a rebuild.
- Messaging usually Spruce. Required for Remind all, confirmation texts, and scheduled reminders.
- Phone required for Call patient. Owner only. Outbound confirmation calls, not an inbound receptionist on the practice line.
- Open the profile menu → Settings → Connectors.
- Pick the category (practice software, messaging, or phone).
- Open the item and follow the connect steps.
- When it shows connected, go back to chat or the board and try one action.
Apps in chat (everyone)
Gmail, Calendar, and Slack are optional. Assistants turn them on for their own chats under Connectors → Apps (or Personalization). That does not connect practice software for the office.
Who can do what
- Owner PMS, messaging, phone, plus their own apps.
- Assistant their own Gmail, Calendar, and Slack. Board and chat only otherwise.
If something fails
- Nora will tell you the tool is disconnected instead of guessing.
- Reconnect under Settings → Connectors. Superadmins pick a practice in the header first.
- Texting and calling also have personal toggles under Personalization. Those do not replace a missing connection.
