Impact
Impact
Impact is a calculator. It counts real Nora events, then applies the rates you set. Change a rate and every period recalculates. Nothing is stored as a dollar on the event itself.
What it is
Open Impact in the left sidebar (next to Dashboard). You get hours saved, time in dollars, booked-slot dollars, and total impact for this month, year to date, or all time.
What gets counted
- Call a call Nora placed.
- Text a text Nora sent (Remind all, a single send, a scheduled remind).
- Book an appointment Nora booked after you clicked Book.
Each event is unique. The same call or text is not counted twice.
What is not revenue
A patient confirming by text or phone is time saved, not a booked slot. Only a new appointment Nora booked counts as a slot.
The rates
Practice owners set rates under Settings → Impact. Assistants can see Impact; they cannot change rates.
- Receptionist annual salary hourly rate is salary ÷ 2,080. If salary is empty, dollar figures for time show as a dash.
- Minutes saved per call default 2.5.
- Minutes saved per text default 1.
- Typical filled-slot value what a booked visit is usually worth. Default $350.
Formulas
- Hours saved = (calls × minutes per call + texts × minutes per text) ÷ 60
- Time in dollars = hours saved × (salary ÷ 2,080)
- Slots in dollars = books × typical filled-slot value
- Impact = time in dollars + slots in dollars
Example
- Counts
- 40 calls, 120 texts, 6 books this month.
- Rates
- 2.5 min/call, 1 min/text, $45,000 salary, $350 typical slot.
- Math
- Hours = (40×2.5 + 120×1) ÷ 60 = 3.67. Time ≈ 3.67 × ($45,000÷2,080). Slots = 6 × $350. Impact is those two added together.
