Reminders

Reminders and texts

Nora can text patients to confirm a visit. You can send one reminder, remind a whole day, or let scheduled reminders go out the night before.

What it is

Reminders are patient texts about an existing appointment. They are not marketing. Messaging must be connected (usually Spruce) and you must have texting turned on in Personalization.

Remind all

On the board, Remind all texts every unconfirmed visit for the day you are viewing. Nora will not double-text the same appointment.

  1. Open Dashboard and set the date you want to remind.
  2. Click Remind all.
  3. Nora sends to people who are still unconfirmed and have not already been reminded for that visit.

Example

You do
Board is on tomorrow. Twelve visits are unconfirmed. You click Remind all.
Nora does
Texts those twelve. If you click Remind all again, she skips anyone she already texted for that appointment.
Patient does
Replies to confirm (for example YES). The visit shows as confirmed. That is time saved on Impact — not a new booked slot.

One patient from chat

Ask Nora to draft a confirmation or recare text. She shows Send text. Click it. That is the send.

Example — one text

You type
Draft a confirmation text for Ana Ruiz tomorrow at 9.
Nora does
Writes a short message and shows Send text.
You click
Send text. Until you click, nothing is sent.

Scheduled reminders

Under Settings → Personalization, turn on scheduled reminders when messaging is connected. Nora sends the night before for the next day’s unconfirmed visits. Same rule: she will not double-text a visit she already reminded.

What a reply means

When a patient confirms by text, the appointment is confirmed. Impact counts that as time saved (a text), not as revenue. Revenue on Impact is only a slot Nora booked. See Impact.

What you need

  • Practice messaging connected (owner, Settings → Connectors)
  • Texting on for your user (Settings → Personalization)
  • A working plan
Patients can opt out of texts with STOP. That is covered on the privacy and SMS page.
